Wales & South Africa have played each other 29 times with Wales only managing one victory in 1999 & a draw in 1970. The rest have been won by the Springboks.

Wales have made three enforced changes to their run-on team, which sees Liam Williams coming in for a concussed George North, as well as Gethin Jenkins and Scott Baldwin stepping in for Paul James and Richard Hibbard respectively. South Africa have made eight changes to their team that took on Italy, of which Tendai “Beast” Mtawarira, Bismarck du Plessis, Willie le Roux as well as wingers Cornal Hendricks and Lwazi Mvovo all make their way into the starting lineup today.

Hello and welcome to today’s coverage of Wales vs. South Africa, live from Millennium Stadium, Wales. Last week Wales put in a spirited performance which saw them push the All Blacks for nearly 70 minutes before eventually going down 16 points to 34. However, this performance will certainly boost the Welsh confidence going into today’s clash. Wales coach Warren Gatland is under immense pressure after only recording one victory against either Australia, South Africa or New Zealand in 27 attempts. South Africa come off a hard fought victory against Italy, and have yet to hit their straps. They go without the services of a large number of frontline players due to club commitments, injury as well as Bakkies Botha’s sudden retirement.
