Madigan gets the second half underway
Both sides return to the field for the second half
What a first half we were treated in what has a been an entertaining game of Rugby with both sides really up for it tonight. Leinster started the better and were ahead 6-0 after 12 minutes thanks to 2 penalties from Madigan and things got better for the away side after Tom Court saw red for a dangerous tackle on Toner. However it was Ulster who got the first try of the game with Jackson going over in the corner after a poor kick from Madigan. Rob Kearney was sent to the bin for a high tackle on Jackson in the build up to the try and Leinster were then reduced to 13 men after Ruddock was sent to the bin for a high tackle on Payne. Ulster took advantage of the 1 man advantage with Jackson kicking over to give them the lead before Madigan kicked Leinster back in front and give them a half time lead. Leinster will be back to full strength in the second half so Ulster will still have a lot of work to do if they are going to win this game. The second half is moments away so stay with us for further updates and analysis.
Ref clearly stated it was red because he landed on neck, same reason Kearney only got a yellow.
Idiot! Frecking idiot!
Leinster eventually concede a penalty after Henderson puts pressure on McCarthy. Jackson's kick fails to make touch but Leinster fail to take advantage with Madigan knocking forward and that is the final play of the first half with Leinster ahead 9-8 at the break.
Little harsh cause Kirchener pushed ruddock into him but like the other two cards players safety is paramount
Leinster now with the ball after a great run by D'arcy brings them into the Ulster 22.
Poor play from Paul Marshall after collecting a poor kick from Kirchner he had numbers on his left but went right instead and offloaded to Henderson who eventually was tackled into touch.
It was a clear red. Rules are rules and they must be adhered to
