A well-fought encounter but it is Ulster who take the victory following a strong Edinburgh comeback. Ulster took the lead early on with a penalty try and a great finish from Rory Scholes but they were hit by four early injuries. Ulster came out strongly in the second half but it was Edinburgh who got the next score following a cheeky dink from Phil Burleigh which allowed Cornell du Preez to touch down in the corner. The gale-force wind continue to frustrate both sides and Ulster thought they had sealed the victory after Luke Marshall broke through the Edinburgh defence to touch down but the TMO correctly adjudged Chris Henry to have infringed in the build-up. Edinburgh pushed for a draw in the dying minutes but Ulster never looked like losing this one.
