Yeah the points difference works both ways every point scored by Toulouse decreases Connacht's by 1 and increases Toulouse's by 1. Unless I'm mistaken a Toulouse win by 8 points or more denys Connacht a losing bonus point AND by coincidence just puts them ahead on points difference (ignoring try bonus points).

guys as a Connacht man I would love a win more than anyone.
but fact is this is a very good Toulouse side. sitting forth in top-14 and with a great home record and look at how the nearly beat Wasps last week.
I think poor Connacht will not come out the best here but can hold our heads high in this group considering how many we are missing

Alan, no. Only 2 from the group can progress. The 5 group winners and the 3 highest placed runners-up in the groups will form the quarter finals. If, as is likely, Wasps thump Zebre, they will finish on 22 points with a hefty points difference. If Connacht win with a try bonus, they will be on 23 and will top the group. If they just manage the win, then they could still top the group but they would need to outscore Toulouse by 6 more than the spread in Zebre. I think it is all about the scrap for 2nd place. If Connacht manage any game points while denying Toulouse 4 tries, they go through. If Connacht come away without the match point(s), but can stop Toulouse scoring 4 tries and stay within 14 points, they should still go through. (I think!)

So lads and girls if we loose and I hope we don't what is the max points we can concede and still go through. Ooooo my god can't wait, if we had our full squad I wouldn't be a nervous , this is a game where you would need Bundi, but hope the other lads rise up
