Connacht take a 17-14 lead over the Kings into halftime. Connacht got off to a dream start with two early tries seeing them race into a 14-0 lead. Connacht then picked up a red card 15 minutes in and a yellow card ten minutes later saw the visitors reduced to 13 players. The Kings hit back with two tries in quick succession to level things up at 14-14. Connacht would have the final say of the half, with a late penalty edging them ahead at the break.
