Red Card | 23'
Wtf?
CJ Stander is shown a straight red after the ref adjudged it to be a seriously dangerous tackle
That is a joke
Very harsh
This is an awful decision
Yellow at best that's a shocking decision
terrible call
I hope lambie is okay, but that's a horrendous call. If it was Dublin, it wouldn't have been a red. Awful Ref
******* terrible decision!!
Terrible decision.
harsh or not - it's dangerous play and the jumping player is responsible for his actions and to avoid the player.
yellow would have been harsh!
Ireland really looked to be in with a chance, not any more. Was dangerous play at the end of the day and a crucial mistake, best wishes to Lambie
That's an awful decision and no he doesn't have to avoid the player as he was in the air before he kicked it
Raynal is a joke never a fed a yellow would have been harsh
He was jumping to block down the ball how's that a red?
And from my view it does seem like stander has jumped too late for it to a proper charge down, and doesnt charge down with hands up as per a usual chargedown
How is he meant to avoid the player mid air???? He went for charge down.. terrible decision. Imagine if he hadn't turned. Could've been worse.
Nasty collision but not a red card. Sorry Ireland.
Lol stander atta girl have a seat
The card was based on the outcome not the infringement
ridiculous.. yellow at the most! no malice there at all..
What a ******* joke
That's a joke
Its the same when 2 players go up in the air and 1 falls badly the other gets a card bullshit
That's the game handed to South Africa on a plate
Unfortunately that's how the rules currently work...
Terrible decision. Based on the impact, not the infringement, as has been mentioned above.
Yeah he can't avoid, but turning in the air made it the worse possible outcome, as standers hip collided with lambies head. If he stayed front on it could have been a more controlled Collision with lambie in standers softer stomach
French refs 🔫
Frank mate im not sure youve seen cj stander, if lambies head hit his stomach he would have broke his neck😉
Seriously poor merchandise from the ref
******* bullshit
What thes the point of having a TMO if they're gonna make those decisions
The ref should only give a red if he believes the intent was only malicious, there was clearly none, poor refereeing will kill this game.
Atrocious decision!
The Ref has lost the plot
He is referring Ireland only
Not a red card for CJ
Home town decisions prevail - regretfully
French refs are shite
Ridiculous decision, shouldn't even have bern a yellow. Stander could not have avoided the collision and clearly had no malice. Ref playing for the home crowd.
Yellow card... End of!! Absolutely ridiculous to make that a red card! TMO should have over ruled the red!! Pathetic!!
Disgraceful refereeing..
just remember Stewart hogg red card v Wales
Not a chance was that red
Not good decision from Stander or ref. It was high and late but in context of game should have been yellow and a stern warning
Should have never been a red. Should have been a yellow for reckless play but no more. He went for the charge down and as he jumped, realised it was not on. So that is why he didn't try. As for those who say that he should have avoided the player, how? He is a big lad up in mid air, in the short time he had, there was no way he could have tried to avoid him!
Def a red
go away you Luke ya troll
never a red
Intent is not taken into consideration despite what Alan Quinlan thinks on Sky Sports. Outcome is what makes the decision an easy one. Straight red!
Hogg did something similar a couple of years ago and got a red. Seems like it was the right choice but I don't think it should of been
Great win
Raynal is a joke, simple as
I missed the game my sky box went down. What happened?
Some rugby decisions the refs and officials don't put themselves in the players shoes and think that they have control over everything
Like some have said the injury outcome of things like this make the pulling of cards. Soon we'll be seeing players diving around pretending to be injured like in soccer
