Scotland take a 14-12 lead over Fiji into halftime. Fiji picked up a yellow card just a minute into the match and Scotland capitalized with an early try to lead 7-0. Fiji then missed a penalty attempt but scored a try after 13 minutes to trail 7-5. Ten minutes later, Fiji had their second try to hit the front, with Scotland also picking up a yellow card in the process. Scotland went over for their second score with the final play of the half to edge ahead by two points at the break.
