FULL-TIME: Sale get off to a good start in their opening Amlin group game with the win at home to Biarritz. The Sharks out powered and outplayed the away side in every aspect of the game tonight. Stand-out performances from the Sharks pack made it easy for the home side, most notably from young loose-head prop Ross Harrison who is named man of the match after a very strong performance, especially at scrum time. Biarritz looked a shadow of their former self. A poor performance from a side fighting for survival in the Top 14. Their minds were quite clearly on other problems. They rarely looked dangerous in attack and lacked aggression in defense at times. Sale can take many promising things from tonight's performance. Thanks for staying with us this evening and I hope you enjoyed our coverage.
TRY SALE: Sale's dominance at the scrum results in another penalty try. The Biarritz pack once again unable to stay on their feet as the scrum collpases. Cipriani adds the extra two points.
Sale almost cross for another but are unfortunately held up. Good scramble defense from Biarritz
YELLOW CARD BIARRITZ: Gomez-Kodella unable to stay on his feet in the scrum. The referee awards the replacement prop with a yellow card. No complaints here.
Sale with all the momentum here. Now with a scrum fiver meters out.
Biarirtz front rower penalised for use of an arm. Penalty Sale, nothing more.
TMO assessing some foul play. None to be seen in my opinion
Good match for Sale Sharks.Getting a few scores but Biarritz fighting back
TRY BIARRITZ: A finely worked line-out and drive from five meters out results in a try for the away side. The conversion is added to close the gap to 16.
TRY SALE: A handling error from the Biarritz backline forces a turnover. Ostrikov the second rower collects the loose ball and finds himself in space as a result of the error. The Sharks man sprints for the line from almost on the halfway and goes over untouched. Ford adds the difficult conversion
