Northampton Saints take a 13-8 lead over London Irish into halftime. London Irish opened the scoring with a try, but Saints pulled three points back with a penalty shortly after. London Irish then picked up a yellow card, but despite their numerical disadvantage slotted a penalty to lead 8-3. Saints would finish the half strongly, with a converted try and a late penalty seeing them up by five points at the break.
