The Exeter Chiefs take a 17-13 lead over the Northampton Saints into halftime. The sides traded early penalties before a second for Saints put them up 6-3 approaching the midpoint of the half. Exeter hit back with a try shortly after to go ahead 10-6. Saints responded with a try around the half hour mark, but once again Exeter struck with a try a few minutes later to take a four point advantage into the break.
