And its all over from Palmerstown, as Manuwatu hold on for a maiden win in this years competition. This game never really took off, noth sides being affected by the difficult conditions which made attacking very difficult. North Harbour come away with a bonus point, but little else positive from the game. Thanks for following the action with us, see you next time.
TRY NORTH HARBOUR! This one is far from over, as Micheal Little steals over for a try, which goes unconverted. 3 minutes left, and Harbour need one more score to get a result.
10 minutes left, and Manuwatu look happy to run the game down woth the current scoreline. Nothing too adventurous coming from them, as North Harbour still search in vain for that all important score. Harbour currently in possession on half way.
20 minutes to go in this one, North Harbour still looking to grab a score which would really make this ending exciting, but the conditions and player handling is really letting them down. finding it hard to create. Harbour currently in the Manuwatu half in possession.
TRY MANUWATU! And what a decisive try it may be. After a long period of possession for Harbour, a great Te Rure kick birings play right to the Harbour line. A quick turnover then allows Foreman burrow over for quick score. Te Rure cant convert in blustery conditions.
Turnover Manuwatu, and Te Rure clears the danger, for now.
Manuwatu defending their line ferociosly, Harbour look like they are going to go over in the next few phases as the pack rumbles on close to the line.
Nearly 10 minutes into the second half and the deluge of turn overs continues to affect the flow of the game. Manuwatu attack just breaks down, forward pass that looked contentious. North Harbour clear to bring play into the home sides half.
TRY MANAWATU! The home side regain the lead as a nice kick from Te Rure unlocks the North Harbour defence, allowing Milner-Skudder slide over for a score. Conversion missed, Manuwatu lead by 3.
Turnovers aplenty as the half comes to a close, neither side able to get more than two or three phases together before losing possession. Exciting, although a score looks unlikely.
