Leinster take a 7-6 lead over the Lions into halftime. The Lions had two early opportunities to open the scoring, but both their penalty attempts went wide. Leinster put the first points on the board with a try seven minutes in to lead 7-0. The Lions pulled three points back with a penalty five minutes later and added a second four minutes from halftime to trail by just a single point at the break.
