Stormers clear the ball into touch, and Walsh brings and end to proceedings. The South Africans leave Palmerston North the rightful victors after an absorbing game of rugby. Following a strong first half, the Hurricanes lost some of their consistency and allowed Stormers steal the win. Thanks for joining us, hope you enjoyed!
Two tries a piece, and two points in it. Habana's block down late in the first half providing the difference..
Just over three minutes left, and Hurricanes running the ball from their own half.. But they knock forward on their twenty-two and gift Stormers with an excellent attacking platform. Admirable defensive effort from the Stormers. Hurricanes finding it incredibly hard to extend the gain-line..
Stormers respond quickly with a try of their own. They work their way deep into Hurricane territory and pick up a scrum five metres out. Vermeulen splits right off the back of the scrum, seeking to exploit the lightly defended blind-side. He barrels into contact and crashes to the floor a metre out. The ball is recycled and delivered to Aplon on a superb line. Aplon pierces and touches down.
C'mon stormers!!!!!!
Give ur all now boys!!! Last 15 min of effort!!!
Leiua instigates the try, scything through a scattered Stormer defence and providing the 'Canes with momentum. Leiua is brought to ground just outside of the twenty-two, and the ball is swiftly delivered to Proctor on the wing. He tears down the touch-line and does well to slip the ball to Taylor before being bundled into touch. Taylor then crosses for his first try of the season!
This is a nailbitter!
Komaan manne! Trek die wa deur die drif!!!
Stormers steal a Hurricane line-out on half way. Van Aswegen then boots down field and his team mates provide the chase. The home team attempt to run the ball under pressure but De Jongh cuts Perenera down with an fantastic tackle. The support is slow in coming, and Perenara is pinged for holding. Pieterson guides it over.
