After sustained pressure the Highlanders cough the ball up after a poor scrum which eventually leads to Aaron Smith throwing a poor pass which is intercepted by Todd. The Crusaders clear, 10 mins gone in the second half.

TRY for the Crusaders created by Tom Marshall. He takes the ball on the wrap around, and slips the first tackler before shipping the ball inside to Ellis to score. Carter adds the extras to give the Crusaders a commanding lead.

With the Crusaders on the attack the ball comes free at the ruck, Thorn picks it up and offloads to Ben Smith, who cant hold the pass with huge space in front of him. About a minute to go in the half.

After an attempted maul the Crusaders move the ball wide left to Sam Whitelock, who is bundled into touch going over the line. The Crusaders still deep in Highlanders territory however, with the home side still down to 14 men.
