Gloucester were awarded a penalty try 25 minutes in, with Leinster picking up a yellow card in the process. Despite being down a player, Leinster scored try number three to push the lead to 21-7. Leinster finished the half in style, going over for the bonus point fourth score with the final play for a commanding advantage at the break.
