I now sincerely hope that all the top boys return and thoroughly tonk Montepelier home and away in Europe. That and a win against Exeter at Scotstoun will be a reasonable return in Europe. Especially if coupled with the inaugural Pro14 trophy!
First of all the red card. If it was any other ref I may have questioned the decision. But it was Nigel and he saw clearer pictures than I did and I thought it was a definite yellow so... Interesting to have the two calls so close together and as where Kepu‘s was a certain red there was definitely more room for doubt in this one.
So, if Cardiff had only been down to 14 men for 20 mins (the later yellow was totally justified on number of pens alone) would Glasgow have won it? I think yes but I’m less convinced than I was about Scotland last week. Cardiff were playing well especially at the breakdown and Glasgow’s 2nd string team were making a lot of mistakes. I think that the team selection was bang on btw. You have to use the squad and after such a convincing win away to Ospreys there was no reason not to think that a similar team (all be it one that cut even deeper into the squad than last week) wouldn’t get the job done tonight.
They had to check it but its good!
The sub scrum half makes his debut
How long to go
Times off for an injury
Still Cardiff are camped down on their line
Great defence from Cardiff
Warriors only five yards out, and are turning up the pressure
Both teams bringing on some fresh legs
