The Scarlets take a 19-15 lead over the Dragons into halftime after a sea-saw first half. The Dragons opened the scoring with a penalty, but the Scarlets went over for the games first try to lead 7-3. The Dragons were back in front with a try, but the Scarlets hit back with two quick scores to open up a 19-10 lead. The Dragons would have the final say with a try on the stroke of halftime to reduce the deficit to just four points at the break.
