There will be passion as determination in what will be a goodbye to many stalwarts, as well as teams still vying for home ground advantage in the playoffs. The Highlanders will be pushing hard for a bonus point victory as they are tied on 48 points with the Chiefs and only a single point separates them in terms of points difference. Both the Highlanders and the Chiefs want the home ground advantage next week. Veteran All Black hooker Keven Mealamu will be stepping on to the field for his last time in the Blues jersey.
