George Ford with the high kick out of his own 22. Saints take it well in the air and look to go forward. Fearns in to hold up the ball carrier and Bath awarded the scrum on their own 22. Interesting tactic from Ford, opting not to find touch
Excellent kick from 50 out and a real confidence boost early on for Ford
Dickson with the box kick. Ball still in play and Abendanon looks to run it back. Saints not rolling away and Ford will have an early chance to open the scoring.
Ford gets us underway as Foden fields the kick.
Moments from KO here in Cardiff as both sides emerge from the tunnel
Hello and welcome along to our live coverage this evening's Amlin Challenge Cup Final. Coming to you from the Cardiff Arms Park, this year's finale of the Amlin sees Bath take on Northampton Saints in an all Premiership affair. After missing out narrowly on the top four in the domestic league, Bath will be keen to end their campaign on a high note while one suspects Northampton may well have next week's Premiership final on their minds. Nevertheless, hotly contested 80 minutes ahead of us, with some interesting matchups across the respective XV's, none more so than Tom Wood and Francois Louw in the backrow. For the Saints, Lee Dickson is preferred to Kahn Fotuali'i, as is Micky Young instead of Peter Stringer for Bath. Young partners George Ford at halfback before the latter heads for surgery ahead of a summer tour with England. Big 80 minutes ahead, stick with us for commentary and analysis throughout. Any predictions folks?
No Jamie Daniel other way round
22-23
Bath
Good, they are playing a full strength squad: should make the prem final game better!
Stringer should be starting, guaranteed quick ball for the backline to attack!
