I guess we will be. Gats has obviously seen something. JD is a very evasive runner/poacher and not given enough credit. Don't forget his first 2 tests were played out of position. Just have to wait and see.
Maybe a few bob on the draw!
People talking about physicality and seem to conveniently forget Australia play NZ and SA 2/3 times a year and win on a fairly regular basis. People try to bash down the door against the Aussies but it rarely works. Wales are not South Africa in physical stature and are very much not the AB's in the skill department or any other department. The lions have to win by playing a different way than big runners because if plan "A" fails what are they going to do? Very little, with having two centres who are not good passers of the ball the plan B won't be fluid enough to best Aussie
It's a team where he doesn't want to give away any ball. No box kicking. It's going to be ball in hand and smash at them till they tire from tackling done big ball carriers. They should get some penalties off Penny's boot and the scrum should be strong and solid for a good platform to play off.
He may of just picked the side on stats or picked a side that has a decent blitz defence. I can see some method in the madness.
Australia suck the lion's are
gowing to win
Rather than moan at me tell me which players you disagree with? You're obviously on about BOD. There are only other possible changes you'd want to make. Crofty and Gray. If Cian and POC weren't injured they'd be in but who else? Might have a call for Murray at 9. But otherwise what? It's nothing to do with being welsh. Nooning when England had 9 players in the starting 15 2 tests ago. Nothing about the whole English back line playing in one of the provincial games. You beat the Ozzies once but the welsh keep winning the 6 nations. It's all about which "bit" of glory YOU keep wanting to bring up? BOD last game was poor for anyone.
@Jason. Plain to see your welshness coming through in your comments. Like previous posters you only agree with the team because there are so many welsh players on it. Your comments are one sided and not subjective at all. The point your missing is that it's not a welsh team playing Australia, as if it was the result would be a certain win for Australia. Thank god he has players from Scotland(2012), Ireland(2011)and England(2010)in the squad to at least make sure the result isn't a foregone conclusion and we have some hope if a victory. By the way the numbers in brackets are the last time each of the other teams apart from Wales beat Australia. Hadn't time to back through the years to find the last welsh victory!
Manu on the bench , you serious
He has gone for a more physical side yes and im backing them 100% but BOD its a sin to leave him out of a lions tour and plus if the line out was going badt they really need croft and parling both there but hey ho nothing we can do but back them and support
