All action here at Eden Park, first Auckland scoring a great team try which began with a break from Saili, finished off by Maola. Ripia, in reply for BoP, knocks over a simple penalty to leave the result still unknown as we enter the final few moments of play.

After it looked as though Auckland had this one wrapped up, two kicks from Ripia has brought this game to a nail biting conclusion. With just over 10 minutes to go, it could go either way, BoP with all the momentum, Auckland with the narrowest of leads.

Bay of Plenty are right back in this one after a try from Situati. From a scum 10 metres from the Auckland line, quick hands gives Situati the space o get in in the corner. Ripia cant convert the difficult conversion, BoP trail by 9 with 20 minutes to go.

50 minutes gone, BoP are trying desperately to get back in this game but Auckland are defending resolutely. Kicking to touch from a penalty, the bay pound the Auckland line, but to no avail, as Auckland eventually force a turnover and Hickey clears his lines.

Try for Auckland straight from the kick off. Visinia breaks the line and finds Saili, who offloads to Pratley, who hands the ball off to Braid to finish a great move off. Hickey tacks on the extra two, Auckland lead 17-3.

Patient build up play from Auckland finally reaps rewards. Starting from just inside the Bay of Plenty half, Auckland move the ball left and right until eventually BoP run out of defenders, allowing Fekitoa waltz over for an easy score. Hickey nails the conversion, Auckland lead by seven approaching half time.

Ripia levels the scores, after Auckland are pinged for offside. 26 minutes gone, were level at 3-3.

25 minutes gone, and this game is still yet to come alight. Things are level in terms of possession but handling error from both sides continues to halt any attacking rugby. Scores remain 3-0 to Auckland.

Hickey atones for his earlier miss, after Sam Cane is penalised for hands in the ruck. Good strike from 22 metres out, and Auckland take an early lead.
