Young returns for Harlequins clash
- 1021
Thomas Young returns to the Cardiff starting XV to take on Harlequins in the Investec Champions Cup on Saturday (20:00).
The open-side flanker has been sidelined since picking up a calf injury in November but is one of five changes for the Cardiff Arms Park showdown.
Three of those changes come in the pack, with fellow Aberdare product Alex Mann returning to the number six jersey he has performed so well in this season, and Rhys Carré stepping up from the bench.
Two further changes come behind the pack with Willis Halaholo and Harri Millard coming back into the starting line-up.
For a second consecutive fixture, the Arms Park is sold out and head coach Matt Sherratt is relishing another memorable occasion.
He said: “It’s great to have another sell out at the Arms Park. The crowds this season have been brilliant, with our supporters really getting behind us to make an electric atmosphere.
“These are the games we all want to be involved in - two teams, who like to play an attacking brand of rugby, at a sold out stadium and in the best club competition, with plenty of familiar faces in both teams.
“There is a buzz amongst the players and it is a challenge we are all really excited about.
“Harlequins are a top quality team, who have a clear DNA in what they stand for and how they play. They have a real attacking intent combined with a physical approach and a solid set-piece.
“It makes for a fantastic occasion and one we are relishing. We have prepared well and will be focusing on implementing our game-plan and structures in front of a vocal home crowd.
Four Wales internationals are included among the replacements, in Corey Domachowski, Rory Thornton, Ben Thomas and Owen Lane.
