Weekend Round-Up For Welsh Teams
- 1532
It was not a great weekend for the Welsh teams in the Pro14, the only win coming from Dragons who narrowly beat the Toyota Cheetahs 13-10.
Cardiff Blues went down to an impressive Edinburgh side 14-6 at Murrayfield.
Scarlets were competitive against Munster before the latter ran away with the game at the end thanks to a late brace from Gavin Coombes. Final score: 29-10.
Ospreys had their game against Zebre postponed due to Corona virus worries in Italy.
Top Welsh performers:
Josh McLeod (Scarlets) was the best Welsh tackler with 26, earning himself second position in the tournament overall.
Dan Fish (Cardiff Blues) carried the ball a total of 14 times, covering 78 running metres against Edinburgh, tie 7th in the tournament overall in both categories.
Fish was also the most prominent Welsh player when it came to the ‘defenders beaten’ and ‘clean breaks’ stats with 5 and 2 respectively.
Sam Lousi (Scarlets) turned over 2 balls against Munster before receiving his marching orders.
