Crusaders Head Coach Scott Robertson said Ioane and the Crusaders had reached a mutual decision that staying in Japan was the best thing for him.
“We loved having Digby in our environment this year and he brought all of the energy and charisma that we knew he would. However, in talking to Digby since he has been in Japan and scoring tries left, right and centre for the Panasonic Wild Knights, we have mutually agreed that at this stage his rugby career is going to benefit from him focusing on that team,” Robertson said.

Worcester centre Ben Te'o is almost certain to miss England's Autumn Test's after suffering an ankle injury on Challenge Cup duty this weekend against Brive at Sixways.

Taranaki flanker Toa Halafihi has signed for French club Lyon as an injury replacement for Englishman Carl Fearns, who has been ruled out of the rest of the Northern Hemisphere season.
Stephan Dippenaar retires
Springbok Sevens player, Stephan Dippenaar, has called an end to his playing career and will join a family farming business near Moorreesburg in the Western Cape.
The 29-year-old enjoyed a rewarding rugby career in both fifteens and sevens rugby which saw him earning gold medals in the domestic Currie Cup, Super Rugby and the World Rugby Sevens Series.

Gareth Bautz banned for 3 weeks
Sydney Rays flanker Gareth Bautz went before a National Rugby Championship (NRC) judicial hearing in Sydney last night after being issued a red card during his team’s Round 7 match against the Canberra Vikings at the weekend.
Bautz pleaded guilty and is ineligible to play until after November 4, 2017.
