Wales Women announce training squad for the 2017/18 season

On the back of automatically qualifying for the 2021 Women's Rugby World Cup after their victory against Ireland, Wales Women head coach Rowland Phillips has named their training squad for the 2017/18 season.

A number of those included were involved in the recent Wales Women U18 Sevens campaign - one which saw them claim their country's first ever team medal at the Commonwealth Youth Games.



The new training squad will convene for the first time this Wednesday at the National Centre of Excellence, where Phillips and his assistant coaches, Nick Wakley and Paul Young, will set out their expectations for the coming seasons.
