Harlequins edged Wasps 48-46 in a twelve try thriller to bring round 18 of the Premiership to a close. Wasps opened the scoring with an early penalty, but Quins hit back with the game's first try to lead 7-3. Wasps responded with two tries in quick succession to lead 17-7 midway through the fist half, with Quins picking up a yellow card in the process. Despite being down a player, a try for Quins made it 17-14. The sea-saw battle continued with a Wasps try 5 minutes from halftime, but Quins would finish the first half strongly, with a late try and penalty with the final play seeing them sneak in front 24-22 at the break. Harlequins picked up a red card just three minutes into the second half, with Wasps capitalizing with two quick tries to surge in front 36-24. The pendulum swung back in favour of Harlequins, who crossed for two tries to get their noses in front once more, 38-36 around the hour mark. Five minutes later Wasps regained the lead thanks to their sixth try and they added a penalty to push their advantage out to 46-38 with eight minutes to play. Just two minutes later, Harlequins reduced the deficit to five points with a successful shot at goal. In a game of many twists and turns and shifts in momentum, Harlequins would have the final say, running in their sixth try as time expired to draw level, with the conversion calmly slotted to see them snatch victory at the death.
