The Glasgow Warriors did the double over their rivals Edinburgh in as many weeks with a 31-24 away win in round 3 of the Pro14 Rainbow Cup. Edinburgh got off to the perfect start, with a try just two minutes in to lead 7-0. The sides then traded penalties before a Glasgow Warriors try midway through the first half saw the scores level at ten apiece. Edinburgh then picked up a yellow card and the Glasgow Warriors capitalized immediately with a try to hit the front 17-10. Despite being a player down, Edinburgh responded with a try around the half hour mark to even things up at 17-17. However, the Glasgow Warriors would have the final say of the first half, with a try with the final play seeing them take a 24-17 advantage into the break. The first score of the second half was always going to be crucial and it went the way of the Glasgow Warriors with a try eleven minutes in to take control of the match, up 31-17. Edinburgh were desperate for a score to get back into the match and it finally happened with a try after 68 minutes reducing the deficit back to seven points and setting up a tense final ten minutes. That would be where the comeback ended however, as the Glasgow Warriors made it back to back victories in the competition over their arch rivals.
