Blues lose duo: Bad news for Blues fans this morning as Steven Luatua and Patrick Tuipulotu have been ruled out of the rest of the Super Rugby season. The pair join injured captain Jerome Kaino and Luke Braid in the long term treatment room. Both All Blacks look set to be out for over 4 weeks with Luatua out with a dislocated shoulder and the nerve damage that followed. While Tuipulotu is recovering from a long term hip injury and the lock needs more time to recover. However there is good news for the Blues with All Black winger Charles Piutau, who has made a speedy recovery on a knee injury and could be available before the end of the season to the Auckland side.
Tatafu Polota-Nau given time: Waratahs hooker Tatafu Polota-Nau has been given extra time to recover from a concussion. The 29-year-old Wallaby has received an extra three weeks off which means he will miss the clash against the Crusaders in Sydney on Saturday as well as away matches against the the Lions and Cheetahs. Polota-Nau, who has had problems with concussion injuries in recent years, has been sidelined since suffering a knock against the Brumbies in Round 12. This is the hookers 2nd head injury this season and this time will be used for rest so he can get a full recovery.
