Kriel fit for Bulls
Jesse Kriel is set to play for the Blue Bulls against the Sharks at Kings Park on Saturday.
The Springbok centre was not included in Rassie Erasmus’ touring squad for Argentina and will be given a chance to stay match-fit in the Currie Cup. Full story
Liam Hallam-Eames suspended for four matches
Manawatu lock Liam Hallam-Eames has been suspended for four matches for striking an opposition player in his team’s Mitre 10 Cup match against Waikato on Saturday 18 August.
Hallam-Eames was cited under law 9.12 for striking a player with his arm in the first minute of the match. Manawatu won 24-19. Full story

2017/18 PRO14 Awards Winners
PRO14 Awards for the 2017/18 season were handed out at the Season Launch Party at the Argyle Street Arches in Glasgow last night (Monday) where 10 winners were recognised along with the line-up for the PRO14 Dream Team.
After Leinster became the first team from the Championship to complete a PRO14 and Champions Cup double, the province captured three of the awards on the night. Their head coach Leo Cullen took home the GUINNESS PRO14 Coach of the Season award, rising star Jordan Larmour won the Young Player of the Season while his back-three colleague Barry Daly was recognised as the Championship's top try scorer for last season.
