Top Performers - South Africa vs England

Tom Curry
The young Sale flanker continues to grow into that number 7 England jersey as week after week, he consistently performs at a very high level. He was tremendous at the breakdown, showing great strength and technique to get in over the ball early and force countless penalties, constantly disrupting the speed of the Springbok attack. He also looked to get into the attacking line as often as possible and ran some really intelligent support lines.
Jonny May
The Leicester Tigers winger was in simply sensational form this afternoon as his side secured an important consolation victory over South Africa in the final instalment of their test series. He looked menacing with ball in hand; making 6 clean breaks and beating 6 defenders for a total gain of 68 metres. He was also rock solid in defence, recording a perfect tackle success rate and capped off his man of the match performance with an excellent try in the second half.
Jesse Kriel
Kriel was the standout performer in an otherwise slightly underwhelming Springbok backline performance this afternoon as they were comprehensively beaten by England in Cape Town. The big outside centre made a couple of brilliant breaks, beating several defenders for a total gain of 79 metres. He was very strong in defence, recording a 100% tackle success rate and securing an important turnover. Showed great pace and footwork to spark the move which ultimately ended with him collecting Gelant's grubber kick to touch down for a well-earned try.
