Marcell Coetzee
The Ulster Number 8 claimed another well deserved Man of the Match award for his energetic display over the course of the 80 minutes in Belfast. Coetzee is one of the most impressive back rowers in the game at present and he continues to go from strength to strength since putting his injury troubles aside. A leading carrier for Ulster in the absence of Iain Henderson, the former Bok made 13 carries, beat three defenders and pitched in with 14 tackles to round off another incredible display for the Irish province.
Rory Best
The Irish captain made a considerable contribution to the Ulster victory when he replaced Rob Herring with 30 minutes left to play. His neat offload in midfield helped create the second Ulster try to push the home side into a narrow advantage before he calmly assisted the winning score for Dave Shanahan off the back of a lineout move showing deft handling to send the scrum half away in the corner.
Will Addison
The Ireland midfielder has become a firm fan favourite at the Kingspan since his summer switch from England. Although he failed to grab the headlines with a break away try or assist, Addison was very solid in attack and defence. He carried the ball for a gain of 75 metres, beat three defenders and linked well with his backline throughout the game.
