Top Performers: Crusaders v Bulls

The Crusaders got back to winning ways against the Bulls in Christchurch having lost their previous two games against the Hurricanes and Highlanders.

Here are our Top Performers from the clash:

Mitchell Hunt

Hunt was crucial to the Crusaders victory scoring 8 points from his boot. His exit plays kept the Bulls at bay, while he constantly put the Bulls back three under pressure with some testing up and unders.

Jack Goodhue

The powerful centre scored two tries from close range with strong carries.

His first of the two saw him go through two big Bulls forwards to dot down under the posts.

His defence was solid making 8 tackles.

Lood de Jager

Another busy performance by the Bulls and Springbok lock. de Jager ran a tight shift at lineout time for the Bulls as they won all but one of their lineouts the whole match.

He also carried the ball 10 times for the Bulls and made 6 tackles.

Billy Harmon

The Crusaders looseforward has enjoyed a fine start to his Super Rugby career and built on those performances against the Bulls.

He was often the first player at the ruck and made 10 tackles and one turnover.

Travis Ismaiel

The lively winger was a standout for the Bulls as he scored a brilliant individual try in the first half.

He was strong in the air with Mitchell Hunt and Mitchell Drummond testing the winger throughout the match.

He made 47 running metres, beat 5 defenders and made one clean break.
