Richard Cockerill's side top Pool 5 through five rounds of action, they lead the French giants Montpellier by three points in a winner takes all clash at Murrayfield next weekend. In Round Five, Edinburgh travelled to the Stade Mayol to face Toulon, coming up just short of a bonus point, in their memorable victory. Newcastle Falcons travelled to the Altrad Stadium and were torn apart by the Top 14 outfit as ex-Scotland coach, Vern Cotter, secured the maximum return to set up this mouth watering encounter in Edinburgh.
Saracens v Glasgow, Saturday 19th, 1pm
The two time champions host Glasgow Warriors at Allianz Park next Saturday with it all to play for. Saracens are the only unbeaten side left in the tournament and lead the overall table through five rounds with 23 points. Having secured a try bonus point win in three of their five pool games, the North London club only need to beat the Scottish side to ensure their No.1 ranking heading into the Quarter Finals. If Montpellier manage to beat Edinburgh on Friday night and Glasgow fail to win a point away to Saracens they their European challenge could be over. This game promises to be a all action encounter with a rake of tries almost a given.
Munster v Exeter, Saturday 19th, 5:30pm
Munster claimed a memorable bonus point win over Gloucester in Round Five to firmly place themselves in the driving seat in Pool 2, leading next weekend's opposition Exeter Chiefs by four points. The Devon based side travel to Thomond Park needing to beat the Irish province in order to keep their European hopes alive. Munster are a formidable opponent on their Limerick based turf and have already seen off Gloucester and Castres by sizeable margins at home in this tournament. Exeter will have to score four tries and blow the hosts out of the water to have any chance of progression, this one promises to be a real treat.
