To the casual observer the story of last Saturday’s rugby will have had an all-too-familiar look to it.
As always happens at this time of the year, we had two big rugby tournaments running on either side of the equator.
As always the one tournament provided champagne rugby, with ridiculous tries being scored from anywhere on the field, while the other too often featured dreary, low-scoring affairs in miserable conditions.
