Stats and facts: France v Australia

The Wallabies will look to continue their promising start to the Spring Tour when they face France in Paris.

Dave Rennie's men survived a late scare to hold on for a 16-15 victory over Scotland at Murrayfield.

Here are a few stats and facts ahead of Australia's clash with France:

1. The last five Tests between these nations decided by three points or less (29-26 in 2014, 25-23 in 2016, and 23-21, 28-26, 33-30 in 2021).

2. France went down 2-1 to the Wallabies last July but have not lost a game since, including sweeping the 2022 Six Nations.

3. Victory over Australia would see the Les Bleus break their longest winning run of 10 matches, which was also achieved between April 1931 and October 1937.

4. France have won their last six matches on home soil (five at the Stade de France and one in Bordeaux), dating back to a 27-23 loss to Scotland in March 2021.

5. On their last November tour to Europe in 2021, Australia lost all three games - against Scotland (15-13), England (32-15), and Wales (29-28). They'd never been whitewashed before in the professional era.

6. Les Bleus have not trailed their opponents at half-time in any of their last 23 international matches.

7. The Wallabie are yet to win back-to-back matches in 2022.

8. France were the only side with a tackle success rate of 90% or better in this year's Six Nations (90.2%).

9. Australia were the only side with a place-kicking accuracy of 90% or better in this year's Rugby Championship (92%) and were also the only side not to miss a single penalty goal attempt in the competition (9/9).

10. Australia's Fraser McReight hit more defensive rucks than any other player in this year's Rugby Championship (40).
