Springbok hooker hungry for action

Springbok hooker Bongi Mbonambi showed that there is real aggression bubbling under the surface of his team as he displayed plenty of fighting talk as the first Test inches closer. 

“We’re ready for battle,” he said during the press conference on Tuesday. 

“There has been a lot of talk from people out there saying that we’re underdone – the only thing they’re doing is throwing more petrol on the fire that is burning. 

“We’ll see what happens on Saturday. The whole team is looking forward to it.” 

Mbonambi is set to start in the Test on Saturday which kicks off at 18:00 in Cape Town.
