Squad update ahead of Saturday’s BKT United Rugby Championship opener against Benetton in Treviso.

Prop Harri O’Connor tore his Achilles tendon against Saracens on Friday night and is set to undergo surgery. He is likely to miss the majority of the 2024-25 season

Scrum-half Archie Hughes is to have surgery on an ankle injury sustained in the pre-season match against Leicester and is likely to be out of action for at least three months.

Centre Eddie James suffered a concussion against Saracens and is undergoing head injury return-to-play protocols.

Tomi Lewis (Achilles), Steff Evans (Achilles), Shaun Evans (knee) and Joe Roberts (knee) are currently on the long-term injury list.


Scarlets will be assessing a number of players this week before selecting the side to face Benetton.
