Round 2: Team of the weekend
- 7245
1. Nick Auterac
Stood out as Bath dominated Leinster in the scrum. Form like this only helping his chances for an England call up.
2. Ashley Johnson
Came of the bench early but was important for Wasps in their win over Toulon. Around the pitch and at the set piece he was superb.
3. Kieran Brookes
Has settled into life at Northampton well, really impressed at the scrum against the Pro 12 champions. MOTM in an important win as Northampton won in Glasgow.
4. Luke Charteris
The Bath bound man disrupted the Scarlets pack well and was key in Racing's BP win away in Wales.
5. James Gaskell
A late call up for Bradley Davies but was immense in Wasps' win. Was a workhouse and claimed the MOTM award.
6. Tom Wood
Did all the dirty work for the Saints in their win over Glasgow, in some good form at the moment.
7. George Smith
Like a fine wine he gets better with age. His experience stood out for Wasps and his work rate was outstanding. Kept the impressive Toulon back row quiet.
8. Nathan Hughes
2 tries for Hughes at the Ricoh Arena. Was a major part in the Wasps defence keeping Toulon out. Will he be called up by England?
9. Joe Simpson
The form scrum half in Europe at the moment. Controlled Wasps play well in one of their most famous wins. Surely Eddie Jones has to take notice of the Wasps man.
10. Owen Farrell
Showed a different side to his game against Ulster, his creative spark was crucial to the North London club away in Belfast. Setup Alex Goode with a fantastic offload to get the ball rolling at the Kingsholm Stadium/
11. Olly Woodburn
Has settled into life at Exeter well since his move from Bath. Scored a brace and was awarded MOTM against Bordeaux.
12. Wesley Fofana
Was always a threat against the Ospreys, had to wait till the 75th minute but eventually he nabbed himself a try.
13. Gael Fickou
Celebrated his 3 year deal with a strong performance in the centre. Got on the scoreboard with a well finished try as well.
14. David Strettle
Really enjoying his rugby in Clermont since his move, has started the season well and bagged 2 tries yesterday against Ospreys.
15. Alex Goode
Put in a real good shift at 15 and finished of a lovely move which he started, to help Saracens towards a BP win.
