Edinburgh have confirmed that Scottish front rower, Rory Sutherland, has extened his stay at the club until 2019.
Rory joined the capital club on a Academy contract in 2014 and graduated the following season.
He made his debut for Scotland in 2016 when he came off the bench against Ireland in the Six Nations and has made two appearance other appearances.
Rory commented :"Everything is moving forward and I'm really happy to be a part of the team for another two seasons."
Duncan [Hodge] has brought in a real attacking edge to the Edinburgh game, which I think will suit the way I want and like to play.
“There’s a good feeling around the club just now and I feel that this is the right place for me to stay to take my rugby to the next level and try to continue being involved in the Scotland set-up.”
Duncan Hodge, acting head coach said:
“Securing Rory [Sutherland] for another two seasons is a huge boost for the squad.
“He’s accomplished a lot in his first few years at the club – clocking up over 50 Edinburgh Rugby appearances.
"His hard work was rewarded earlier this year when he was capped by the national team.
“Front-row is an area where we have a lot of experience and competition and Rory has used this to his advantage, as he works with those around him to continue developing his own game.”
