Report: Stade Francais target Wales back rower Ross Moriarty

Stade Francais are looking to strengthen their pack ahead of the 2022/23 season after a disappointing 2021/22 season which sees them currently sit 11th overall in the TOP14.
The Parisian club have reportedly signed Biarritz's flanker Mathieu Hirigoyen and are further looking to strengthen their back row options and have reached out to Wales' Ross Moriarty.
According to Midi Olympique, Stade Francais have tabled an offer to Moriarty but there is doubt whether they will be able to secure his services.
With 54 test caps, Moriarty would be ineligible to play for Wales if he joined the French Club.
The Wales selection policy states that a player playing outside of Wales needs at least 60 test caps or had an existing contract before their debut and is still under contract.
The lure of making the Wales' 2023 Rugby World Cup squad is reportedly a sticking point for Moriarty who is likely to remain at the Dragons.
Los Pumas flanker Pablo Matera was also set to return to Stade Francais after his stint with the Crusaders in New Zealand but other reports suggest this is no longer the case and Stade Francais are now in the market for an international quality no.8.
