Quins go toe-to-toe with Saints at the Stoop
- 1086
Round 12 will conclude with the Saints marching into the Twickenham Stoop to face the fiery Quins.
After a run of four victories on the trot, Quins stumbled against Newcastle Falcons last weekend at Kingston Park. The Falcons were bravely led by flyhalf Brett Cannon who put together a brilliant performance which spurred his team on the victory in a nail-biter.
Northampton were on the losing end of another nail-biter at Franklin’s Gardens as they were pipped by a single point in the end by Bath.
Saints are knocking on the door of the top six on the table while Quins’ great burst of form of late has seen them make third spot their own.
Paul Gustard’s men put together a convincing win the last time these met – in Round 2 of the current competition. Quins will be hurting after last weekend and eager to hop back onto the winning train and thus hold their position in the upper echelons of the log.
Saints will be bitter after their narrow loss to Bath and will be keen on widening the gap on the standings between themselves and Wasps who trail them by just two points.
This could well be an encounter worth watching between two teams who have shown quality this season.
