Glasgow Warriors
Glasgow Warriors enjoyed an eight-try blitz of visiting Zebre at Scotstoun on Friday evening.
Neither side were giving an inch in the opening exchanges, however, Zebre were gradually worn down by stout Warriors determination.
George Horne and debutant were each rewarded with two tries.
The teams went into the shed with the scores fairly close at 21-17 to Warriors who hit the ground running in the second stanza and dominated Zebre on attack and defence.
The final score stood at 56-24 to the deserving hosts.
Edinburgh
Boosted by the return of six players from national duty in the Six Nations, Edinburgh downed Llanelli Scarlets 14-9 at Pac y Scarlets on the weekend.
All of Edinburgh’s points came in the first half from tries by Duhan van der Merwe and Matt Scott with Jaco van der Walt slotting both conversions.
The teams broke for half-time with the scores at 14-6.
The only score in the second half was a solitary penalty from Scarlets despite their territory dominance.
