PRO14 Round 2 Highlights: Glasgow vs Munster
- 1651
Glasgow dominated Munster for large periods of play at Scotstoun this evening and deserved their 25-10 victory. Peter Horne kicked the hosts into an early 3-0 and when Callum Gibbons bundles his way over for a try inside 20 minutes, the intent was clear from the hosts. From here Glasgow settled into their grove while tries from Stuart Hogg and Adam Ashe gave the Scots a comfortable 22-0 lead at the interval. Munster came out of the shed in a more determined mood and perhaps it was the presence of Joey Carberry on the pitch that made the difference. The visitors began to cause Glasgow plenty of problems and when Rhys Marshall crossed with 10 minutes remaining, the comeback was on. This was short lived as Glasgow won a penalty immediately from the restart which Stuart Hogg duly knocked over, giving Glasgow a 25-10 lead. For the last 7 minutes, Munster attempted to keep on fighting while Glasgow searched for their fourth try but the defences held firm and the scores remained unaltered. FT Glasgow 25 Munster 10.
