The Glasgow Warriors held on for a 20-7 home win over the Scarlets in round 2 of the Pro14. Glasgow opened the scoring with a penalty around the half hour mark, but also missed two first half kicks at goal. Shortly after and the Warriors had the games first try to open up a 10-0 lead. The Scarlets had a late first half chance to get on the board, but their penalty attempt just before the break sailed wide as the Warriors held a 10-0 advantage. The pivotal moment of the match occurred just two minutes into the second half as the Scarlets picked up a red card for a dangerous tackle to play the final 38 minutes with 14 men. Glasgow capitalized on their numerical advantage with their second try and slotted a second penalty to open up a 20-0 lead with 25 minutes remaining. The Warriors must have had a four try bonus point on their mind, but the 14 man Scarlets rallied and crossed for a try to reduce the deficit to 20-7 with a quarter of the match to play. Two yellow cards for the Warriors just two minutes apart reduced the hosts to 13 players with nine minutes left on the clock. The Scarlets piled on some relentless pressure in the final ten minutes, but were unable to break through as the Warriors notched up their first win of the campaign
