Premiership Round 18 Highlights: Harlequins v Bath
- 1419
Bath keep their playoff hopes alive with a bonus point victory over Harlequins. The clash at the Stoop saw fans return to a Premiership match for the first time since the competition returned. Quins put on a show for the first 20 minutes Joe Marchant scoring the first try in the 6th minute before Rhys Priestland and Brett Herron traded penalties. The two pivots did the same as Quins lead at the first water break 13-6. That water break proved to be pivotal as Bath would turn the tables on Quins who were dominate in the opening quarter. Ruaridh McConnochie pounced on an error by Matt Symmons who failed to field the kick off with the winger finishing superbly in the corner. A try Eliott Stooke and a converted penalty from Priestland saw Bath lead 13-23 at the break. McConnochie added another with Priestland adding the extras and a penalty before Martin Landajo got a try back for Quins in the 69th minute. Lewis Boyce scored a wonderful intercept try in the 71st minute before an extended period of offenses by Bath saw two men (Jack Walker and Tom Dunn) go to the sin bin as James Lang scored the consolation try for the hosts.
