Northampton Saints notched up their first win in the Premiership this season with a 29-10 home victory over the Worcester Warriors in round 4. Saints opened the scoring with a penalty just two minutes into the match. Ten minutes later Saints were awarded a penalty try to open up a 10-0 lead, with Worcester picking up a yellow card in the process. The Warriors got on the board with a try after 26 minutes, but Saints responded immediately with their second try to restore their ten point advantage as they took a 17-7 lead into the halftime break. Saints were then reduced to 14 players after picking up a yellow card nine minutes into the second half, with the resulting Worcester penalty making it 10-17. With around 15 minutes remaining, Saints crossed for their third try to take control of the match at 24-10. Saints would cap off an impressive performance with the all important fourth try to seal the bonus point as they leapfrog the Warriors off the bottom of the table.
