Premiership Highlights: London Irish v Gloucester Rugby
- 1106
A hugely entertaining game as visitors Gloucester show just about enough composure to come away with the win at the end of the day. Irish got off to a cracking start as Josh McNally opened the try-scoring after ten minutes followed by another from James Marshall 8 minutes later. Irish maintained a strong foothold in the game until the thirty-minute mark when Gloucester opened the floodgates. Hanson got the visitors scoring off to a start followed by another from Tom Marshall, brother of James, with Ludlow getting the third putting Gloucester in the lead for the first time of the day. Twelvetrees added two extras bringing the HT score to 17-19.
Gloucester continued their streak with a try from Atkinson on the 53 minute mark with Marshall getting over for his second of the day 3 minutes later. Irish managed to get two late tries but their efforts were just short in the end. Final score 29-33.
