- 1839
A magical second half performance saw the defending champions Harlequins cross the half century mark en route to a 52-24 home win over the Bristol Bears in round 4 of the Premiership. Three Bristol tries saw the visitors race into a 21-0 lead after 26 minutes of play. Harlequins got on the board with a try around the half hour mark, but Bristol slotted a penalty with the final play of the first half to take a handy 24-7 lead into the halftime break. Harlequins needed an early second half score and did just that with a try seven minutes in. Shortly after another try followed to close the gap to just five points at 24-19, with Bristol also picking up a yellow card in the process. Harlequins capitalized on their numerical advantage, with two tries before the hour mark seeing them hit the front 33-24 heading into the final quarter. It was all Harlequins at this stage and their brilliant second half continued as they ran in a further three tries to seal a sensational victory, reminiscent of their semi-final comeback against the Bears in last season's semi-finals.
