The Bristol Bears edged Gloucester 28-24 in round 15 of the Premiership. Bristol got off to the perfect start with an early try, but Gloucester hit back with their first score to lead 7-5. Bristol kept the scoreboard ticking over, slotting two penalties to take an 11-7 lead into the halftime break. An early second half penalty for Gloucester made it a one pointball game, but the Bears responded immediately with their second try to lead 18-10. The game was turned on its head as the Cherry and Whites stormed back with two tries in quick succession to surge into a 24-18 lead heading into the final quarter. Gloucester then picked up a yellow card to go down to 14 players. It went from bad to worse for the visitors, as Bristol were awarded a penalty try, with Gloucester picking up another yellow card to go down to 13 players with just under 15 minutes to play. Gloucester missed a penalty to reclaim the lead with 10 minutes remaining, with Bristol slotting a late long range kick at goal to seal the victory.
