Pollard to lead Bulls

Handre Pollard will be captaining the Bulls into the Super Rugby season.

The fly half who spent last season injured is no stranger to a leadership role having been part of the Bulls leadership group for the last few seasons now. 

Pollard will be taking over while regular captain, Adriaan Strauss, is set to miss the first few games while he recovers from surgery.

Coach Nollis Marais had this to say on Pollard: “Handré is an amazing rugby player and a natural born leader, and we are privileged to have a young man of his caliber in our system. He has a strong personality and a great vision for the game, as he has shown time and time again, at all levels. Couple that with the respect he has earned from the players and the vital experience he has gained with the Springboks, and his appointment becomes obvious.”

Hanro Liebenberg will be The Bulls vice-captain, Liebenberg is a former Junior Bok captain and has captained the Bulls in junior and Currie Cup levels.
